About Concordia Leisure Centre

Concordia Leisure Centre is the town's main sports and leisure venue, run by Places Leisure in partnership with Northumberland County Council and formerly operated by Active Northumberland. Its large, tropical-themed free-form pool is 25 metres long, with a shallow area for babies and toddlers, and hosts lane swimming, family sessions and Aqua Fit classes. A thermal spa adds a spa pool, sauna and steam room.

Alongside the pool the centre has a gym, fitness and indoor cycling studios, a sports hall, squash courts, bowling, soft play, a splash pad, a cafe and a licensed bar. Swimming lessons follow the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework, from pre-school classes to adult lessons and aquatic skills courses, and are booked online through Places Leisure.
