About

Cramlington: a Northumberland new town with deep roots

Six miles north of Newcastle, Cramlington grew from a medieval manor and a cluster of pit villages into one of England's post-war new towns. Today it is home to nearly 29,000 people, with a busy town centre, a mainline station and Northumberlandia on its doorstep.
