The morning begins with a Remembrance Service at St Nicholas Church at 10:00 AM, lasting about 45 minutes. The church is usually full, so arrive early to get a seat. At 11:00 AM the town keeps the two-minute silence at the War Memorial in Cramlington Village, followed by wreath laying and the reading of the names of the fallen. Veterans, cadets and local youth groups then march past the memorial. Afterwards, Cramlington Village Community Association serves refreshments at Cramlington Village Community Centre. Village Square and Blagdon Terrace are closed to traffic from 9:50 AM to 12:30 PM.
