Best Financial Advisers in Cramlington
Three financial advice firms with offices in Cramlington, all on the FCA register: Newcastle Financial Advisers at the Newcastle Building Society branch, Denton Woodhouse and Sleight Wealth Management.
Pensions, savings, investments and protecting your family if something happens to you are all decisions where good advice can make a real difference, and where bad advice can be expensive. Advice on most of these is regulated, so the first thing to check about any adviser is that they are on the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) register.
Below are three financial advice firms with offices in Cramlington. One works from the Newcastle Building Society branch in the town centre, and two are at Apex Business Village in Annitsford, on the southern edge of the town. We checked each firm on the FCA register and on its own website in November 2026. All three are appointed representatives, which means they give advice under the authorisation of a larger regulated firm, and we say which one below. This guide does not give financial advice, and listing a firm here is not a recommendation for your circumstances.

Newcastle Financial Advisers
Newcastle Financial Advisers is part of Newcastle Building Society, and offers advice in the society's Cramlington branch at Craster Court, in the Manor Walks shopping centre. You can meet an adviser face to face in the branch or book a phone or video appointment.
Advice covers pensions and retirement, investments, inheritance tax planning and life protection. Newcastle Financial Advisers is an appointed representative of The Openwork Partnership, a trading style of Openwork Limited. Book through the branch on 01670 735 813.
Best for: building society members, and anyone who would rather get advice in a familiar high-street branch.
Denton Woodhouse
Denton Woodhouse is a long-standing local firm at Unit 2, Apex Business Village. Its website says it was formed in 2000 when two established advisers, Geoff Denton and Frank Woodhouse, merged their practices. The FCA register shows it has been an appointed representative since that year, and its website names its principal firm as Wealth and Prosperity Ltd.
The website says little about the services it offers, so call to check whether it covers what you need before booking a meeting. Call 0191 250 4660.
Best for: people who want a small, established local practice.
Sleight Wealth Management
Sleight Wealth Management is at 16 Apex Business Village. It is a St. James's Place Partner Practice, which means it is an appointed representative of St. James's Place Wealth Management plc and advises only on that group's products and services.
Its website lists investment, retirement and protection planning, mortgages, passing wealth between generations and services for businesses. Call 0191 250 1655.
Best for: people who are comfortable with advice limited to the St. James's Place range.
How to choose a financial adviser in Cramlington
- Check the FCA register. Search the firm and the individual adviser on the FCA Register. If a firm is an appointed representative, check the principal firm too, because the principal is responsible for the advice.
- Independent or restricted? An independent adviser can recommend products from across the whole market. A restricted adviser recommends from a limited range, sometimes from a single provider. Neither is wrong, but you should know which you are getting.
- Understand the charges. Advisers must tell you their charges before they advise you. Ask for the cost of the initial advice and any ongoing charge, as a percentage and in pounds.
- Know your protections. If you have a complaint, go to the firm first, then the Financial Ombudsman Service. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme may help if an authorised firm fails.
- Free guidance is available. For general help before you pay for advice, MoneyHelper offers impartial guidance, and over-50s with a defined contribution pension can book a Pension Wise appointment.
- Watch for scams. Be wary of cold calls, offers of unusually high returns or pressure to move your pension quickly. Check the FCA's warning list before you hand over any money.
