Best Estate Agents in Cramlington

The three estate agents with branches in Cramlington: Pattinson and Renown on Smithy Square, and Mike Rogerson at Manor Walks, with tips on choosing an agent to sell or let your home.

Cramlington.live·

Cramlington's housing is mostly family homes on the estates built from the 1960s onwards, plus a steady supply of new builds in the South West Sector. Plenty of homes change hands each year, and three estate agents have branches in the town centre to handle them.

Two are at Blagdon House on Smithy Square and the third is at Manor Walks. All three handle sales and lettings. We checked each one in November 2026 on its own website or the property portals, and on The Property Ombudsman's register of member businesses. New-build homes are usually sold through the housebuilders' own sales offices on site, so they are not covered here.

Pattinson

Pattinson is one of the biggest estate agencies in the North East, with around 30 offices. Its Cramlington branch at Blagdon House on Smithy Square says it has been selling and letting homes in the town since 1984. In December 2023, Pattinson took over Ryedales, another Cramlington agency.

As well as sales and lettings, Pattinson offers property auctions, mortgage advice, conveyancing and surveys through its wider group, which can be handy if you want everything arranged in one place. Its company, Keith Pattinson Limited, is a member of The Property Ombudsman. Call 01670 568098.

Best for: sellers who want wide marketing reach, or the option of selling at auction.

Mike Rogerson

Mike Rogerson Estate Agents is a Northumberland agency with branches in Cramlington, Bedlington, Ashington, Morpeth and Wallsend. The Cramlington office is at 6 Cheviot House in Manor Walks, and The Property Ombudsman lists that branch as a member.

It deals with sales and lettings, and its website shows a client money protection certificate for the deposits and rent it holds for landlords and tenants. Call 01670 732400.

Best for: buyers and sellers looking across south east Northumberland, as well as in Cramlington itself.

Renown Estate Agents

Renown Estate Agents is an independent, family-run agency at Blagdon House on Smithy Square, run by Paul Reynolds and his daughter Katherine. It handles sales, and its lettings and property management side operates as Renown Property Management.

Both Renown companies are listed as members of The Property Ombudsman at the Smithy Square address. We could not find a website of its own, so look for its listings on the property portals or call in at the office.

Best for: landlords who want a local family firm to manage a rental property.

How to choose an estate agent in Cramlington

  • Get more than one valuation. Ask at least two or three agents to value your home, and ask each one to show you recent sales of similar homes nearby. The highest figure is not always the best choice if it means the home sits unsold.
  • Read the contract. Check the fee (and whether it includes VAT), the length of any sole agency period and the notice period. Be careful with "sole selling rights" terms, which can mean you owe a fee even if you find the buyer yourself.
  • Check redress and client money protection. By law, every estate and letting agent must belong to a government-approved redress scheme, either The Property Ombudsman or the Property Redress Scheme. Letting agents that hold client money must also belong to a client money protection scheme. You can check membership on the schemes' own websites, and many agents are also members of Propertymark.
  • Ask about lettings fees. Under the Tenant Fees Act 2019, letting agents in England cannot charge tenants most fees, such as admin or referencing charges. Landlords should ask exactly what full management covers.
  • Line up a solicitor early. Choosing a conveyancer before you accept an offer can save weeks. See our guide to solicitors in Cramlington.
