Where to Work Remotely in Cramlington
Where to work away from home in Cramlington: the library at the Hub with Wi-Fi, PCs and printing, a drive-thru coffee shop with Wi-Fi, and the nearest coworking desks at Blyth Workspace.
Plenty of people in Cramlington work from home at least part of the week. Sooner or later most of them want a change of scene, a printer, or a quiet table away from the washing. The town doesn't have a coworking space of its own. It does have a well-equipped library in the town centre and a coffee shop with Wi-Fi, and the nearest dedicated coworking desks are about 15 minutes away in Blyth.
We checked the facilities below against official listings and the operators' own websites in November 2026. If a cafe isn't listed here, that's because we couldn't confirm it offers Wi-Fi to customers, not because it's unsuitable. It's always worth asking at the counter.
Cramlington Library
The best free option in town is Cramlington Library in the Hub on Forum Way, close to Manor Walks. It has Wi-Fi, public computers with internet access and Microsoft Office, colour and black-and-white printing and photocopying up to A3, and a scanner. That makes it the easiest place in town to print a contract or scan a form.
The library is open 9am to 5pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am to 6pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and 9.30am to 1pm on Saturday. It's closed on Sunday. The Hub also has a council customer information point, which is handy if you have council business to sort out while you're there.
Best for: Wi-Fi, PCs, printing and a quiet table in the town centre, with no need to buy anything.
Starbucks, Northumbria Way
The Starbucks on Northumbria Way, beside the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, lists Wi-Fi for this store. It's open from 6am to 8.30pm every day, the longest hours of any coffee shop in town, which suits an early start or an evening session.
It's built around a drive-thru, so check the seating before planning a long stay. As with any coffee shop, avoid the morning and lunchtime rushes if you need a table for a few hours.
Best for: Wi-Fi and the longest coffee-shop hours in town, from 6am every day.
Blyth Workspace
If you need a proper desk, a meeting room or a business address, the nearest dedicated option is Blyth Workspace at Commissioners Quay, about a 15-minute drive away. It's run by Advance Northumberland, the county council's regeneration company. It offers coworking hot desks, serviced offices, meeting rooms and virtual office services in a four-storey building overlooking Blyth harbour.
Advance Northumberland also runs managed workspaces in Ashington and Berwick. Call 01670 528460 or email workspace@advancenorthumberland.co.uk to ask about desk prices and room hire. If you're starting a business rather than just working remotely, our guide to business support in Cramlington covers grants, advice and office space on the town's business parks.
Best for: The nearest coworking desks and bookable meeting rooms, on the harbour in Blyth.

Tips
- Bring headphones and a charger. Sockets aren't guaranteed at every table.
- Use the library for anything sensitive. Public Wi-Fi is fine for most work, but a VPN is sensible on any shared network.
- Mix it up. Our coffee shops and cafes in Cramlington guide lists other cafes in the town centre and Manor Walks for a change of scene.
