Cramlington Shanklea Primary School is a community school on Nairn Road in Parkside Chase, Cramlington. It takes children from age 2 in its nursery through to age 11, when pupils move on to secondary school under Cramlington's two-tier system. Admissions are coordinated by Northumberland County Council.

At its most recent inspection, an ungraded inspection in April and May 2024, Ofsted did not change the school's Good grade, but said the evidence suggested the grade might not be as high if a full inspection were carried out, and that the next inspection would be a graded one.
