Cramlington.live·

Cramlington's charity shops are a good place to find second-hand clothes, books and homeware, and to pass on things you no longer need. Most are in Manor Walks, the town centre shopping centre, with one more at the Brockwell Centre in the north-west of the town.

We checked each shop below against the charity's own shop finder in November 2026. Opening hours can change, especially around bank holidays, so check before making a special trip.

Best for:

Most charity shops can only accept donations during opening hours. Please do not leave bags outside a shop after it has closed, as they are often damaged or taken.

Manor Walks

British Heart Foundation

The British Heart Foundation shop at 42 Craster Court sells donated clothes, books, toys and homewares, with the money going to research into heart and circulatory diseases. You can drop off donations in store. Phone 01670 732796.

The BHF also runs a home collection service for furniture and electrical items, which you can book on its website. Its separate furniture and electrical store at Westmorland Retail Park was listed as temporarily closed when we checked, so look at the BHF website before heading there.

Oak Tree Animals' Charity

The Oak Tree Animals' Charity shop is at Unit 40, Craster Court. The charity rescues, cares for and rehomes animals, and its shops help pay for that work. It does not list a separate phone number for the shop, so ask in store about donations.

Brockwell Centre

St Oswald's Hospice

The St Oswald's Hospice shop at Unit 1A in the Brockwell Centre raises money for the hospice in Gosforth, which provides specialist care for people with life-limiting conditions. It is handy if you live in the north-west of the town and want to avoid the town centre. Phone 01670 733492.

Tips for donating

  • Check items are clean and in good condition. Shops cannot sell damaged or stained items, and disposing of them costs the charity money.
  • Ask before donating larger items. Not every shop has space for furniture or bric-a-brac, and electrical items often need safety testing first.
  • Sign up for Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer. Many charities can then claim extra money from the tax you have already paid when your donated goods sell.
  • Bag clothes and books separately so staff can sort them quickly.
