Best Hotels and Places to Stay in Cramlington

Where to stay in and around Cramlington: the Premier Inn at Moor Farm, rooms at The Snowy Owl, the Holiday Inn and Travelodge at Seaton Burn, and self-catering farm cottages at Burradon.

Cramlington.live·

Cramlington was planned as a place to live and work rather than a tourist town, so there is no hotel in the town centre. That surprises people who come to visit family, start a new job at the business parks or have someone in the emergency care hospital. The good news is that the town sits on the A1, A19 and A189, and there are several places to stay within a short drive of Manor Walks.

Below are five options on the edges of town and just beyond, from budget rooms by the main roads to farm cottages that sleep a whole family. We checked each one in November 2026. Prices change with demand, so book through each hotel's own website and compare dates.

Premier Inn Newcastle (Gosforth/Cramlington)

Despite the Newcastle name, Premier Inn Newcastle (Gosforth/Cramlington) is the closest chain hotel to Cramlington town centre. It sits by the Moor Farm roundabout at Annitsford, on the southern edge of town, with quick access to the A19 and the A189.

Premier Inn's page for the hotel lists cooked and continental breakfasts and parking on site. It does not serve dinner itself: the hotel points guests to the Wetherspoon pub next door, which is run separately. It is the obvious choice for a short stay, a work trip or a night near the hospital.

Best for: a predictable, well-located room on the edge of town.

The Snowy Owl

The Snowy Owl is a large Vintage Inn on Blagdon Lane, at the junction with the A1068 on the south-western edge of Cramlington. Its bedrooms are marketed as The Snowy Owl by Innkeeper's Collection, and the pub serves food all day, so you can eat without getting back in the car.

It is a few minutes from Northumberlandia, the landform sculpture, which makes it a good base for a relaxed weekend. Book a table as well as a room if you are staying over a Sunday, as the roast is popular.

Best for: a pub stay with dinner on site.

Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park

If you want a full-service hotel, Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park is on the Great North Road at Seaton Burn, beside the A1 and A19 junction, a few miles south-west of Cramlington. Visit Northumberland lists 151 en-suite bedrooms, accessible rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a restaurant and cafe, and eight EV charging points.

It is a sensible pick for wedding guests, families who want a pool, and anyone driving an electric car.

Best for: a pool, a restaurant and EV charging in one place.

Travelodge Newcastle Seaton Burn

Travelodge Newcastle Seaton Burn is at the roadside service area by the A1 and A19 roundabout. Travelodge's directions take you off at the Fisher Lane (A1068) exit and first left into the service station, which is the same road that leads into Cramlington.

It is a simple, no-frills room, best for breaking a long journey on the A1 or for a cheap night when you only need a bed.

Best for: a budget room right on the main road network.

Burradon Farm Houses & Cottages

For something different, Burradon Farm Houses & Cottages offers self-catering on a working farm at Burradon, just south of Cramlington. Visit Northumberland notes the farm's 14th-century pele tower. The larger houses, including Briarhill House and Jacobswell House, sleep eight and are graded four-star Gold by VisitEngland.

The farm says some of its properties are dog friendly and some are designed for wheelchair users. With your own kitchen and living space, it suits a family gathering, a longer stay while you look for a house, or a group visiting relatives in the area.

Best for: families, groups, dogs and longer stays.
