About Ponteland Rugby Club
Ponteland Rugby Football Club, known as the Mighty Maroons, is the town's community rugby union club, based at Ponteland Leisure Centre on Callerton Lane. It fields senior men's and women's teams and a large mini, junior and youth section.
The club organises the Ponteland Beer Festival on its Callerton Lane field each summer, which marked its tenth anniversary in 2024. The 2027 festival is on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 June, and the festival website takes sign-ups for early-bird ticket news. Ponteland is about 20 minutes' drive west of Cramlington. Details were checked in November 2026.
