Cramlington.live·

Whether your dog needs a full clip, a hand strip or just a bath and a nail trim, there are a few good groomers in and around Cramlington. They range from a busy salon attached to a dog creche to a small appointment-only salon run by one qualified groomer.

We checked each groomer's own website or Facebook page in November 2026, and all three were taking bookings. Most groomers do not publish prices because the cost depends on your dog's size, breed and coat, so ask for a quote when you book.

Doggy Days

Doggy Days at Unit 7-8 Hubbway Business Centre on Bassington Lane (NE23 8AD) runs a grooming salon alongside its dog creche, which makes it easy to combine a day of play with a groom. Its salon services include bathing, clipping, scissoring, hand stripping, teeth cleaning and nail clipping.

The salon posts spare appointments on its Facebook page, and you can book by calling 01670 716666. Doggy Days also has a second salon in Bedlington.

Best for: The biggest set-up in town, and handy if your dog already goes to the creche.

Dixie's Dog Grooming

Dixie's Dog Grooming is an independent salon with its own shopfront at 52 Market Street in Dudley (NE23 7HS), just south of Cramlington. It posts photos of finished grooms and seasonal offers on its Facebook page.

In 2026 it opened Dixie's Treats in the unit next door, a small pet shop selling natural treats, toys and a few things for cats. Book by calling 07786 412483 or messaging the salon on Facebook.

Best for: A friendly independent salon, with treats to pick up on the way out.

SeeShell Grooming

SeeShell Grooming is a small, appointment-only salon based in Burradon, just south of Cramlington. The groomer is qualified in Level 2 and Level 3 City & Guilds dog grooming, and the business is highly recommended in the reviews on its Facebook page.

SeeShell closes over Christmas and New Year, and has announced a small price increase from January 2027. Call 07402 694217 or message through Facebook to book.

Best for: A small, one-groomer salon with strong reviews.

What about Pets at Home?

Pets at Home on Westmorland Retail Park is the town's big pet shop, but the Cramlington store does not have a Groom Room salon. It is still useful for brushes, shampoo and nail clippers between appointments.

Tips for booking a groom

  • Book ahead for Christmas: December is the busiest month for groomers, and some close for the holidays.
  • Puppies: ask whether the groomer offers a short introductory visit, so your puppy gets used to the table, dryer and clippers.
  • Vaccinations: many salons ask for your dog to be up to date with vaccinations. Have the details ready when you book.
  • Matted coats: if your dog's coat is badly matted, tell the groomer when you book. A short clip may be kinder than brushing the mats out.
  • Ask about prices: costs depend on breed, size and coat condition, so ask for a quote before the appointment.
